The new management of my apartment building has decided that the place is too far gone for piecemeal solutions, and has decided to renovate the entire complex, which means that all the tenants are being kicked out by the end of September. As I am a low-paid temp with no car, my options for new places are limited.

I have a possibility, which is smaller, more expensive and further from downtown--but I have to pass a background check.
